If you are considering changing your degree or major, resuming studies after being absent for a spring or fall semester, or adding a new graduate certificate, review the instructions below.
If you submit an application to request a change, your application may be reviewed in the same manner as students who are applying to a graduate program at Penn State for the first time. Applications created after your initial submission will be prepopulated with your previous information for your convenience. The new program may have different questions or required materials so please pay careful attention as you complete.
Have You Completed Your Degree Requirements?
If you are only resuming to submit your intent to graduate, you should not complete an application to resume study. Please contact your plan of study to have your record activated so that you can apply to graduate. This is only for students who have already satisfied all course requirements and who need to graduate. Students who still need to enroll in courses should complete an application to resume study.

“The working atmosphere here has helped me a lot during these years. We can learn a lot of fields in many topic courses, and many faculty members are willing to help the students, no matter whether they are working in the same direction or not. For example, before I came to Penn State, I knew very little about statistics. But when I came here, I always had chances to talk with faculty members working on various areas. They are always willing to share with me their understanding as well as some interesting stories in their research, which helps me build the big picture of many fields in statistics. I think the atmosphere here is what I love most.”
